Free BMI

Being overweight and especially being obese can result in major health risks.  The tool most used to assess your weight in the Body Mass Index (BMI) which is a specific calculation based on your weight and height.  Four categories have been defined:

  • Normal healthy weight        BMI between 18.5 and less than 25
  • Overweight                         BMI between 25 and less than 30
  • Obesity                             BMI greater than 30
  • Extreme Obesity                BMI 40 or more
